Revenue Sources and Advertising Policy

The Journal of Planner and Development (JPD) is committed to financial transparency, editorial independence, and responsible scholarly publishing. This policy explains the journal’s revenue sources, institutional support, and advertising position, and clarifies that financial considerations do not influence editorial decisions.

Revenue Sources

Article Processing Charges and Institutional Support

The Journal of Planner and Development (JPD) receives financial support through article processing charges applied to accepted manuscripts, as stated in the journal’s Article Processing Charges (APC) and Publication Fees policy.

The journal may also receive institutional support from its publisher, the Center of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies, University of Baghdad, to support editorial management, online publication, platform maintenance, archiving, and open access dissemination.

Editorial Independence

No Influence on Editorial Decisions

Revenue sources, article processing charges, institutional support, or any financial consideration do not influence editorial screening, similarity checking, reviewer selection, peer review reports, reviewer recommendations, editorial decisions, acceptance, rejection, correction, or retraction outcomes. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality, relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, and peer review reports.

Advertising Policy

No Commercial Advertising

JPD does not accept commercial advertising on its journal website, article pages, submission system, published article files, or editorial communication channels. The journal does not allow advertising interests, sponsorship, or commercial considerations to influence any part of the submission, review, editorial decision-making, publication, indexing, or archiving process.
